Sarah hails from the parish of Divine Mercy in Faribault, MN. After graduating from Bethlehem Academy, a Catholic high school in her hometown, she became a Totus Tuus missionary in the Diocese of Superior. She loved seeing the beauty of northern Wisconsin and encountering a variety of people and parishes. After that, she spent two years serving as a missionary with NET Ministries. During her first year, she traveled the country from the Great Lakes to the Atlantic, to the Gulf of Mexico, and to the Pacific. She put on over 120 retreats for teens in grades 6-12 from Maine to Texas to California. Her team of 11 lived the gospel radically by being completely dependant on the generosity of parishioners for places to sleep and for food to eat. During her second year, she was stationed at a Catholic mega-parish with over 30,000 registered parishioners. There, she led weekly Confirmation small groups and helped plan youth group nights each week. She also met with teens for coffee to talk about their own personal faith journeys and encouraged them to pray daily. She now attends school at the fantastic Benedictine College in Atchison, KS and is studying to become a middle school theology teacher. She is involved with a group of students who live out the gospel in communities on mission. She is a huge fan of Scripture, the Sacraments, family, and road trips. She can often be spotted around campus balancing things on her head, loves to praise the Lord, and works in the school district as a substitute teacher. Her goal in life is to become a saint and to bring as many people with her to heaven as possible.
